Ribbed Neck Band

Join and clean finish the shoulder seams. Place short ends of ribbed band right sides together. Seam using triple straight stitch. Press the seam open. Fold the band lengthwise wrong sides together and lightly press. Divide and mark the band and the neckline into quarters. Pin the ribbed band to the neckline, matching right sides together and quarter markings. Sew the band into place, stretching ribbing to fit neckline. Using an overedge stitch will sew the seam and finish the edge in one operation!
