Collar with lapels

Transfer all pattern markings to fabric pieces. Interface the upper and under collars with light to medium weight interfacing. With right sides together and matching markings, sew the under collar to the neck edge. DO NOT sew across the seam allowance at the beginning and end of the collar piece. Clip along the seam allowance to allow the seam to lay flat when turned. Press the seam open. Repeat previous steps to sew upper collar to garment facing. With right sides together and matching markings, pin the facing/upper collar to garment/under collar. Beginning and ending at seam line, with seam allowances folded away from the collar, stitch around top and ends of collar. Beginning and ending at joining point of collar and neck edge, with seam allowances folded away from the neck edge, stitch around the lapels. Trim seam allowances and clip curves and corners. Turn collar and lapels right side out and press. Topstitch if desired.
