Sleeve with high sleeve cap

Join and press open all sleeve seams. Transfer pattern markings to your fabric for accurate sleeve placement. For ease in gathering the sleeve cap fullness, sew a row of gathering stitches along either side of the sleeve cap seamline. With right sides together, pin sleeve into armhole, matching pattern symbols. Gently pull the gathering threads to ease in fullness. Adjust pins. Beginning at one side of the sleeve, stitch along seamline, making sure the gathering in eases in smoothly. Remove the gathering threads, trim the seam allowance to 1/4" (1 cm)and overedge stitch to clean finish the edges. Carefully press the eased sleeve cap.
